The tastes of imperial fashion

Gold has always been symbolic of wealth, luxury, majesty, and attraction. Kings and queens are adorned with gold to denote speciality. Gold defines a status that goes out of the ordinary. Personalized jewellery name necklace embedded with gold is the carrier of an imperial image that beholds power and prestige, in a fashionable culture.

Representative of identity

In a design where one input the name, becomes representative of the individual identity. Further with a surface of gold, it will establish an identity symbolic of luxury and elite-hood. The former accessory will therefore become a representative of the individual’s unique personality.

A token of love

It becomes a token of love with the sheer craftsmanship and creativity of art. Usually, it becomes effective for anyone to gift and appreciate through names carved in unique/attractive shapes that are materially precious as well. The culture of mankind has ever since immortalized their near and dear ones, role-models or perhaps the own self through accessories that are indicative of the former.

An antique one can store.

Such accessories are antique in form. People store collectibles and antique pieces to honour the value of the respective good. Golden name necklaces are a symbol of wealth and glamour, so people will inevitably have an antique piece to store. The value of these pieces of art will never be rendered obsolete by people in the long-run.

Conclusively, it can very well be said that personalized utilities are always better because it exactly suits the personality of the individual. One is entirely satisfied when his/her expressions come to material existence. The cultural evolution of humanity will always appreciate the adornments of high standards that are attractive to the eyes, unique in material and precious to keep under private possession. In other words, humanity will forever accept the cultural trends to maintain a significant social identity. This will be maintained through representative features that overall creates a simplified yet imperial outlook.

Bulrushes – Not to Be Confused With Cattails

Whenever you hear the word bulrush, do you think of cattails? Oddly enough, most people do. However, there are some differences between the two, although cohabitation is not unheard of. Cattails are known to invade a wetland much faster than bulrushes, taking over large expanses in a single growing season because of their mass quantities of wind-borne seeds. In growing season, cattails are more water dependent than bulrushes. Typically, the hardstem bulrush [Scirus acutus] is used in wetland projects and restoration. Bulrushes are much slower than cattails in establishing and spreading because they proliferate primarily through underground rhizomes rather than seeds. Bulrushes can handle and withstand long, dry periods better than cattails. There are some noted differences between cattail and bulrush, as emergent vegetation, but one noted commonality between them is their special adaptation in transporting oxygen from the air to their roots, enabling them to grow in continually flooded, but shallow water areas. Both cattail and bulrush establish quickly, (although as stated previously, bulrushes are still slower than cattails at establishing), and both can tolerate poor quality water. However, bulrushes tend to grow in deeper water, whereas cattails prefer shallow water.

Bulrushes are various wetland herbs (aquatic) from the genus Scirpus. They are annual or perennial plants that are medium to tall in height. Also known as tule, wool grass and rat grass, this herbaceous plant can grow up to 10 feet tall; they are found all through-out North America and Eurasia.

They are divided into groups of soft-stem [Scirpus validus] and hard-stem [Scirpus tabernaemontani] bulrushes, found in the Cyperaceae family. These two species are quite similar in their appearance and share commonalities regarding the areas they grow in. Bulrushes are often used in constructed wetlands to treat agricultural NPS pollution and for the creation and restoration of wetlands. One of the plants used for this kind of project is the species called the Giant Bulrush aka ‘Restorer’. It is considered a superior plant for this, particularly in the south-easterly states. Now you may be wondering, ‘What is NPS pollution and where does it come from?’ Good question!

NPS is short for ‘non-source pollution’, which comes from coal and metal mining, photography and textile industries, agricultural and urban areas, failed home septic tank drain fields as well as municipal wastewater, storm water, and other land disturbing activities that detrimentally impact 30 – 50% of the waterways of America. An affordable and efficient means to address and clean up diverse wastewater is with constructed wetlands. For almost 60 years, researchers have investigated and reported on the use of natural or constructed wetlands and their effectiveness and ability to cleanse polluted water. In 1989, one such researcher named Hammer, defined constructed wetlands for wastewater treatment as “a deigned and man-made complex of saturated substrates, emergent and submergent vegetation, animal life, and water that simulates natural wetlands for human use and benefits.”

The bulrush [Scirpus spp] is one species of vegetation that is cultivated in shallow beds or channels containing a root medium such as sand and/or gravel are effective in helping to regulate water flow. At the same time, biochemical reactions occur on the submerged portions of the plants and within the wetland soils. Oxygen is passively made available for biochemical reactions mainly by the diffusion of air into the system (Rogers et al, 1991). In the United States alone, over 56 FWS (Fish and Wildlife Service) systems process 95 million gallons a day of runoff and wastewater (Reed, 1991).

Bulrushes are reed-like and have long, firm leaves, olive-green, three-sided stems and drooping clusters of small, often brown spikelets found near the stem tips. The stem bases have a few inconspicuous leaves. The roots (or rhizomes) produce edible tubers. The tips of the bulrushes bloom with clumps of reddish-brown or straw-colored flowers that turn into hard seed-like fruits, during the period of April through August.

They are often found along the shorelines of marshy or swampy areas; such as wet locations like the edges of shallow lakes, ponds, swamps, fresh and brackish marshes, wet woods, slow moving streams and roadside ditches. They can grow as high as 10 feet in moist soils, and in shallow or deep water, respectively, from 1 -9 ft of water. The bulrush is densely rhizomatous with abundant seed production.

The Scirpus species occur almost always under natural conditions in wetlands. They are divided into groups of soft-stem [Scirpus validus] and hard-stem [Scirpus tabernaemontani] bulrushes, found in the Cyperaceae family. These two species are quite similar in their appearance. Soft-stem bulrush can grow to 10 feet and grows in dense colonies from rhizomes. Soft-stem bulrush has a round (in cross section), light gray-green, relatively soft stem that comes to a point with no obvious leaves (only sheaths at the base of the stems). Flowers usually occur just below the tip of the stem, from July through September. They grow in the places mentioned in the first paragraph, where soils are poorly-drained or continually saturated. As far as ecological importance goes, the soft-stem bulrush can triple its biomass in one growing season. One area that benefits from this bulrush are urban wetlands, where soft-stem bulrushes can be and have been used to reduce pollutant loads carried by storm water runoff.

The hard-stem bulrush (tule, black root) is a perennial herb with an obligate [restricted to a particular condition in life], robustly rhizomatous wetland plant that forms dense colonies. The stems of this bulrush are erect and slender, sharp to softly triangular; typically reaching 3-10 feet tall. Likewise, the leaves are slender blades that are sheathed around the long stem. The flowers are brown spikelets. The panicle can have 3 to numerous spikelets, which are oval to cylindrical. The nutlets are completely covered by whitish-brown scales and have 6 basal bristles. Bulrushes have stout rootstocks and long, thick, brown underground stems [rhizomes]. The hard-stem bulrush has a much higher tolerance of mixosaline [water containing saline] conditions, than the soft-stem bulrush. It regrows well after removal and is tolerant of fire.

Submerged portions of all aquatic plants provide habitats for many micro and macro invertebrates. These invertebrates in turn are used as food by fish and other wildlife species (e.g. amphibians, reptiles, ducks, etc.). After aquatic plants die, their decomposition by bacteria and fungi (called “detritus”), provides food for many aquatic invertebrates. Seeds of bulrushes are consumed by ducks and other birds while geese, muskrats, and nutria consume the rhizomes and early shoots. Muskrats and beavers like to use this emergent wetland vegetation for food, as well as for hut construction, thus improving the wetland habitat.

Bulrushes have been and are used by many cultures for medicinal purposes, as well as

In the provinces of Shandong, Jiangsu, Anhui and Zhejiang, in China use the bulrush in teas, decoctions and extracts. The bulrush is believed to be effective and most commonly used to stop bleeding, whether from an injury or an internal disorder. It is also used to treat painful menstruation and postpartum abdominal pain. Evidence has shown that bulrush extracts can also reduce the amount of lipids in the blood, as well as being effective in treating colitis.

Native Americans would parch the edible rhizomes (seeds), which are high in protein and very starchy, grind them into a powder for flour, mixed it with water, boiled it and ate it as porridge. The young shoots are considered a delicacy, whether eaten in the raw form or cooked. The bulrush can be used for syrup and /or sugar, used in a salad or eaten as a cooked vegetable. The syrup is dried out to produce sugar and the pollen can be used to make breads and cakes.

They also made a poultice from the stems to stop bleeding and to treat snakebites. The roots can be processed and used in treating abscesses.

‘Boneset’ tea was a popular remedy used by Native Americans and pioneers alike to address general aches and malaise. It was said to have the most effective relief for the nineteenth and twentieth century flu epidemics. It remains popular as a herbal tea and is used as a tonic for colds, reduce sweating and to promote bone healing. It is the belief that it does indeed aid in bone healing that gave ‘boneset’ tea its name. Modern medical research confirms these benefits, stating that the compounds of ‘boneset tea’ stimulate the immune system.

Some Native Americans would chew the roots of the bulrush as a preventative to thirst. They also used the ashes from burned stalk to put on a baby’s bleeding naval.

Stems are used to weave strong sleeping mats, ropes, baskets, purses, hats, skirts, sandals, curtains, temporary shelters, canoes and rafts, brooms and other household items. The plant must grow in coarse-textured soil that is free of gravel, silt and clay if the roots are to be used for quality basket-weaving. The root was sought for the black color, which was desired to highlight patterns created in the making of a basket.

The benefits and uses of the bulrush, both ecologically, medicinally and creatively, make it worth careful consideration for wetland planting zones and native restoration landscapes.

The Differences Between SodaStream Models

Many people want to get a SodaStream but have no idea which model is best for them. It can be difficult to choose, especially when the SodaStream company has no information highlighting the differences between the models. Here is a brief overview explaining which features are unique to the models.

There are currently eight SodaStream models available. They are The Revolution, The Source, The Fizz, The Crystal, The Pure, The Fountain Jet, The Dynamo and The Genesis. First, let’s address the similarities of all eight types. All of the eight models can make soda or sparkling water in the convenience of your home. All come with “stay fizzy” bottle closures that keep the carbonation in longer. All are compatible with the standard 14.5 ounce carbonation cylinder which is capable of carbonating up to sixty liters of soda or sparkling water.

There are four models which are capable of using either the 14.5 ounce carbonation cylinder or the larger 33 ounce cylinder, which is capable of carbonating up to 130 liters of soda or sparkling water. Those four models are The Revolution, The Dynamo, The Fountain Jet and The Fizz.

All eight models use the CO2 tank as a power source to carbonate. The Crystal, The Pure, The Dynamo, The Fountain Jet and The Genesis require no additional power source to operate. The Fizz and The Source do require a battery to operate the display components. That battery is included. The Revolution is the only model which requires electricity to work. Keep this in mind, as it will need to be near an outlet when used.

The Crystal comes with a dishwasher safe glass carafe. The other seven models come with BPA-free plastic bottles that are not dishwasher safe. You can buy dishwasher safe bottles separately that are compatible with those seven models, but you can not use the glass carafe with any model other than the Crystal.

The Dynamo, The Fountain Jet, The Pure, The Fizz and The Genesis all require the user to twist the bottle into place. The Crystal, The Revolution and The Source all lock the bottle into place without twisting, making them a little easier to use.

There is only one fully automated SodaStream available at this time. That is The Revolution. You simply press a button to tell it how carbonated you would like your drink and it does the rest for you. It also measures the CO2 levels to let you know how much is left in your carbonation cylinder. The Fizz is not automated but it does monitor and display the amount of carbonation in your drink as well as the level of CO2 in your cylinder. The Source has three LED lights to let you know how much carbonation is in your drink, but does not monitor the CO2 left in your cylinder.

I hope I have shed some light on what makes each SodaStream model unique. Click HERE for more information on SodaStreams and to see how the different models look. Remember, this will probably sit on your counter at all times, so you’ll want something that looks good in your kitchen.

Forex Trading – The Investment Strategy For You

With approximately US$2 trillion awash in the market today, investors are finding that forex trading is developing into a fantastic opportunity to make substantial profits. It goes without saying though that these profits also carry a quite significant risk associated with the trading. A constantly changing market is often the biggest downfall for many investors, as fluctuations in the currency market cannot only generate huge profits; they can also cause severe losses!

Forex trading basically consists of buying particular currencies while hoping its value on the world market will increase. An example of this is the following: if an investor buys a certain amount of a particular currency, Euros for example, they will hope that the value will increase during a specific time period. Now, if the Euro to US Dollar value at the time was 1.2135, (also known as the Forex Rate), to buy EUR1000, that person must pay US$1213.50 to obtain the euro’s. If the value later rose to 1.2968, this means the investor could sell the EUR1000 Euros for a value of US$1296.80, leaving a profit of US$83.30.

This is just a simple example and anyone investing in a particular currency would have to make sure that, whether in the short term or even the longer term, the currency would be likely to rise in value. It is this speculating of the market that manages to drive investment decisions for particular investment behavior.

Forex markets generally fluctuate and it is this that draws a huge number of, for the most part, short term investors (forex investors) who are searching for that quick, profitable opportunity. The best advantages of the forex markets comprise, among other things, of a gigantic flexible market that includes most world currencies, 24/7 access to dealers on a non-stop free trading market and sophisticated software developed for trading online designed for use in fluctuating markets to gain short-term profits.

At the end of the day, a person has an important decision to make as to whether they feel comfortable with investing in this more uncertain venture, or to go down the safe route and make a totally risk free investment, like government bonds. The only problem with the non-risk strategy though is that the return on investment (ROI) is going to be much lower when using this particular method and is therefore a deterrent for many people looking to make a fast buck.

Saving Money Doesn’t Mean Giving Up Quality

America’s mindset today is “the bigger the better.” “The more it costs the more its worth.” “Get it now and pay later.” These ideas are just not smart. Our government is a prime example with our national debt at all-time record high which no one can pay for.

Frugal living doesn’t mean choosing poverty and it certainly doesn’t mean giving up quality. Many millionaires are millionaires not because they became famous or because they inherited money. They are self-made millionaires who worked hard, made sacrifices and chose to spend their money wisely. I am not saying that all of us that work hard, make sacrifices and spend our money wisely will become millionaires but we can certainly live much more comfortable and carefree out from under the stress of owing someone else our paycheck.

Here are somethings you can do to stretch that paycheck:

1. Pay cash. If you can’t pay cash don’t buy it. Stop using those credit cards. Credit cards are a trap. The only way you should use a credit card is if you pay it off in full every month. Otherwise cut it up! Charging something on a credit card and then paying it out over time ends up costing you double sometimes even triple the original cost of the item. You would be better off saving up a couple of months and paying cash then charging it and them trying to pay the credit card off. The interest eats you up.

2. Eat at home. Pack your lunch and take it to work. Eating lunch out everyday cost anywhere from $10-$15 a day. If you pack your lunch, you cut that cost down to about $2-$3 per lunch or even less if you are throwing left overs away at home. That’s a savings of $160-$240 a month. Not to mention, if you cut down the eating out during dinner time and eat at home as a family. That’s additional savings on top of the $200 a month.

3. Compose a budget. Budget your income at the beginning of the each month. Assign a set portion of your income to your major expenses ahead of time. This will help ensure that you don’t waste money. (Major expenses being: Rent/Mortgage, utilities, food, car payment, gas, insurance, savings, misc.) This helps you know what goes where and how much you have left after all is paid so you don’t overspend.

4. Buy used or discounted new. You can get just about anything you need either used or discounted new. You just have to know where to look. Don’t pay full price for anything. Big Lot’s, Ross Dress for Less, Nike Outlet, The Dump, etc. are just examples of stores that you can get discounted new items. These stores have sales and coupons on discounted new items as well. Garage Sales, furniture rent-a-centers, thrift stores and in this day and time the internet is a wonderful resource. eBay is an excellent tool for new and used items. You will be surprised what you will find and how inexpensive it is once you start looking. No one will know the difference. You will become addicted!

Forex Price Action Trader – How To Trade The Bearish Price Action

The forex price action trader will use no indicators but just a study of the price in his trading charts to decide on the next line of action. In that sense, the forex price action trading has been described as the no-frills, plain vanilla type of trading, as there are no technical indicators such as bollinger bands, Relative strength index, moving average convergence divergence (macd) and other related indicators On his price charts that he uses to trade.

In price action analysis, the forex price action trader can use a single vertical price bar or a cluster of price bars in his analysis.

In the single price bar analysis, for a bearish condition, the price action trader will be looking for a close that has closed below the open or the midrange of that particular bar. Once that has been determined, the forex price action trader has a good understanding that the next vertical price bar will more than likely take out the low, or at least test the low of the bearish vertical price bar under analysis. This bearishness is reinforced if the bearish vertical price bar has a close that has closed in the lower quarter of the vertical price bar under analysis.

The forex price action trader can also use dual price bars in his analysis. In the dual price bar analysis, the reliability of the bearish formation can be further reinforced if the vertical price bar can make a lower high and a lower low while closing below the open, the midrange and is also able to close below the previous vertical bar's Close.

When this configuration occurs, we know that the bears have won the trading day and that the likelihood of the next day's trading action to be down is increased. In other words, the chances of the next day going lower or at least test it, is very probable.

How can this knowledge benefit the forex day trader?

For example, if the market opens up the next day and give you a few pips, the forex day trader can sell the market, as long as everything remains normal. The trader can then expect the market to fall back down or at least fill the opening gap and then back to the previous vertical bar's close and to test the low of the vertical price bar as well.

Vertical bar analysis has been used in trading systems with further refined techniques such that a complete price action trading methodology that returns consistent profits is the end result. Where the trader can not afford the luxury of time to consider too many trading indicators during trading, it is price action analysis that is a powerful tool to help him earn consistent profits in forex trading.

Paper trade the bearish and the bullish price action configurations, and you will be able to gain the confidence to actually trade them in real time and to reap fast profits.

Welding Jobs: Ideas You Can Use At Home To Make Money Welding (No Boss While You Make $100,000)

What if you could make $100,000 a year welding from home?

What if you could make even an extra $500 a month from home, using your current skills? If you are a welder with basic welding skills and you are between jobs or you are being under paid in your current job, it might be worth your time to read this article – let’s think outside the box for just a minute on how you can make money welding from home.

From Home Welding # 1:

Teaching or tutoring any skill is a very profitable business. In any town of any size you’ll see at least one tutoring business in a strip mall brick and mortar location. In that same town will be at least a dozen other tutors working from home, making good money.

Yes, most of the time they are tutoring math and reading to students. Lean back and think about what skills you have that can also be used in a tutoring business you can set up and milk cash from, like milk from a cow.

Let’s say you are good enough with TIG to weld razor blades or pop can butts.

If you can teach a non welder to operate a TIG torch good enough to go on and practice on their own at their home in about 3 hours of your hands on theirs – they will pay up to $100 an hour for 3 hours of TIG instruction. Just 2 students a day would bring you $100,000 a year. If you think I’m kidding I’m NOT! There are many reasons why education is so valuable – and that includes intense, focused tutoring in welding.

6G pipe welding is the highest paid of all welding certifications – most 6G welders make $100k to $300k a year – and demand is crazy. However, if you are a 6G welder and you want to stay home, you can set up and teach 6G in your garage. Let’s say you do this with 7 students, each paying you $10,000 for a 3 month course. Yes, they will pay it – especially if you show them how they will have more time with your hand on theirs (the #1 secret to learning 6G fast).

From Home Welding # 2:

I was in Palm Springs the other day. I have been in and around the trades for 30 years… and when you see a tradesman’s truck and it is late model without dents or many scratches, clean, organized and well equipped, it means (99% of the time) that guy is making money.

I pulled up to a light behind just such a truck – “Joe’s BBQ Service and Repair.” That’s it – that is all Joe does. He will weld cast aluminum or steel. He’ll clean and polish. He’ll replace a burner or a control. OR he’ll buy your old unit and sell / or sell you a new one.

Yes, you need a town with a lot of high end BBQs. Other than that, go get it.

From Home Welding # 3:

Large steel cut outs. In art of all kinds, size matters. For example, 20 years ago we purchased two 4′ long coat racks – each is a piece of 1.5″ x 1.5″ x 1/8″ angle 4′ long with 6 horse shoes welded to the angle to hang the coats.

On the horizontal surface of the angle is welded a scene made of 7 horse and 7 tree cut-outs. We paid $185 for each of these 20 years ago… that would be about $300 a piece in today’s dollars.

The problem with you making these is that the 14 cut outs on each unit are too small too many to cut by hand – you need a computerized plasma table to make these.

Here is where the magic of size makes all the difference.

The artist who drew the cut outs on our coat rack was good. Each of the 7 horses is different and beautiful, as well as the trees. Any – or all of these – cut outs can be scaled up with chalk onto a sheet of say 4′ x 8′ x 3/16″ steel. Now, all you need is a plasma or an oxy torch to create the large version.

What would a horse cut from a 4′ x 8′ sheet sell for?

$300 to $700. It would depend on where you are and how you market it. Marketing is a large part of any business. Good marketing is not hard – you can do it.

You can see, if you could get a “business pipe” full of inventory and sales and you were delivering 2 horses a day, you could easily make $100k. The other major opportunity with big cut outs is gates. The key to all of this stuff in the art category is beautiful line drawings. If you are not an artist, hire one on the condition that they sign the copyright to you.

There are endless ideas to utilize even your most basic welding skills from home to make an excellent living or just extra money. The trick is:

Step A:

Find what will work best for you.

Step B:

Write out a simple plan of attack. Don’t put the cart before the horse. Many small businesses fail because the owner gets all wrapped up in the details and loses site of what is important. Here is what is important: Don’t spend money – MAKE MONEY!

Step C:

The first rule of business is to GET NOTICED. That is also the end goal of all marketing – once you have enough eyeballs on you, you will succeed. The common mistake is to leave marketing for last while concentrating on every little rule and piece of paper. A business license will do you no good if you don’t make money! Save your money and get it (if you really need one) when you make some money. Towns and cities will simply say, “do you have a business license?” When they ask, say: “I’m getting one now.”

You are blessed to live in a country where you can go from nothing to something in a hurry. However, to get anywhere in a hurry requires running hard. You’ll never regret it.

What should you do next?

Another Way to Classify Music

The Ultimate Rule ought to be: ‘If it sounds GOOD to you, it’s bitchin’; if it sounds BAD to YOU, it’s shitty. The more your musical experience, the easier it is to define for yourself what you like and what you don’t like.” ~ Frank Zappa

It is normal that we music lovers make honest attempts to classify music. Some classify by music genre and sub-genre. Others divide it between commercial, academic, folkloric or popular. And maybe you’ve heard that there are those who separate it into two basic groups: good and bad. The good and bad way may come a little close, but it’s still not my way of classifying music. The thing is, I dislike the idea that me or anybody else may claim to be the reigning judge with absolute authority to decide which music is good and which is bad.

I prefer that the determining factor be: my own taste. To each his or her own taste. Let each person decide for themselves the music they like or dislike.

And what is the music I like, like? I don’t know what your’s is like, but mine is honest, expressive, passionate, original, innovative, risky, profound and intense. It is the one that makes me move my body. I say it this way because the movements I make I wouldn’t necessarily call dancing (hahaha). it is the one that gives me goosebumps and makes me laugh, cry or sigh.

I like hypnotic music, the one that has what Spanish people refer to as duende. It’s the one that traps me, forces me to quit whatever I’m doing and give it all my attention. I like the one that transports me to another place, time or feeling. I like the one that makes me want to participate, even if it’s just by hitting my glass with a fork. I love the one that surprises me and activates my imagination. I’m seduced by the one that’s hard to classify and challenges all stereotypes. I’m conquered by the one that’s humble and positive, inspires me to be a better person and is part of the solution (not the problem).

The one I don’t like is cold, empty, predictable, superficial, generic and full of clichés. I don’t appreciate it when someone tries to impress me and wants to demonstrate how much they know and how fast they play. I’m not a big fan of mazacotes, mano a mano, pirouettes or contests. I truly don’t like music that sounds like math, blah, blah, blah or filling. I don’t like it when I have to analyse it to understand it or when it is so hollow that it give me a brain short-circuit.

The exciting thing about classifying music according to our taste is that it is practically impossible to find two that are exactly the same. Our taste is part of our identity, like some kind of musical fingerprint of DNA. It is another way of expressing who we are, where we are and where we are going. It shows where we are because our taste continually expands and contracts. It shows where we are going because it is the compass that directs our steps and traces our path.

Tastes change because we change. We have new experiences and discover new musics. Meanwhile, we stop liking some of the musics we used to like. It’s sort of like when you run into and ex and think to yourself: how could I have been attracted to this person?

Not everyone that ever wanted to be a rock star still rocks. Some keep their inner rocker hidden in the closet (hehehe). But there are also have the die-hard beboppers, hip-hopers and rockers. It’s great that we have them around. As far as me goes, I know the music I listened to during my childhood will always have a special place in my heart.

There are music tastes that turn into a kind of religion or exclusive club whose members reject anyone that doesn’t idolize the same musics and artists as they do. They usually go around in groups judging, criticising and making fun of the people who are no like them. Yes! Music elitists exist. They are the ones that think that their own music and the music they enjoy is the good one and the others are the bad ones. They also think that if someone doesn’t like their music it’s because they’re inferior beings with bad taste who know nothing about nothing about nothing.

Maybe you have also had a close encounter with a music elitist somewhere. It’s been a long time since I belonged to any religion or club. Something tells me that I never again will. I don’t fall in love with genres anymore. I fall in love with artists. Sometimes the honeymoon will last very little and other times it ends up becoming one of those rare ’til death do us part types of marriage.

I fall in love with artists that make their way through life evident and express themselves with a unique and original accent. I fall in love with the authentic ones. I fall head over heals for the ones that are capable of surprising me by moving music forward into worlds that are still unknown to me. I’m captivated by the ones that are true brave leaders and pioneers, the ones that take risks, remain faithful to their identity no matter what and carry inside them that burning desire for freedom.

To conclude, my way of classifying music is this:

  • The music I dislike (the one that makes want to change the station, listen to the commercials o choose silence rather than keep listening to it)
  • The music I don’t like
  • The music I respect, but don’t like
  • The music I like
  • The music I respect and like
  • The music I absolutely love (the one that traps me and forces me to quit whatever I’m doing and give it all my attention)

And yet, I could never classify my music using this system. If my music is liked or not is not up to me. Other people have to decide that for themselves. If I had to classify my music I would simply call it a musical self-portrait or autobiography.

How do you classify music? What’s the music you like, like? And the one you don’t like?

Forex Scalping – Who Uses the Strategy?

Forex trading is an investment vehicle that is favored by many individuals, organizations, companies and even governments. With billions of dollars exchanged each market day, this type of investment can require a large amount of capital to actually offer big returns. Since gains come in fractions of percents in value increases, many buyers see the need for large investments. Forex scalping, however, provides a way around the need to have a huge amount of capital at the onset.

Forex trading involves earnings that are measured in pips. This is the smallest price increment offered in the forex market. The term stands for percentage in point. In most markets, prices for currency are quoted out to the four decimal point. The standard gains are losses are generally seen in pips and not whole dollar amounts.

With the setup of the market in mind, some traders have discovered the value of forex scalping. This involves the use of rapid-fire trades rather than a need to have a ton of capital to see a profit. Forex scalpers are also known to settle for smaller gains rather than larger ones before they will sell. Whereas large investors might wait to earn 50 pips before they will trade currency, scalpers will sell with gains as low as 5. Scalpers tend to buy and sell in a matter of minutes and sometimes even seconds.

While some brokerage houses frown on forex scalping, others enable day traders to take advantage of this options. Getting involved in scalping does require the right brokerage firm’s assistance in facilitating trades and some study of the forex market in general.

Forex trading isn’t just for the big money players. Individuals are finding that they, too, can make a profit when they explore the options that forex scalping brings to the table.
